One of my schoolmates, Paul Fearon, is a clothing designer. His brand, Male Fashion Geek, is a high-end designer label that offers high-end fashion services for sophisticated males. When fitted by Male Fashion Geek, you’re representing a line that is classy and elegant, though trendy.

As we bring our spiritual fashion week to a close, may we seriously remember that everything we do represents. Please bear this in mind as we consider Today’s Holy Nougat

Colossians 3:17 NLT

[17] And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.

Branding is Everything

I remember when Paul was leading up to the launch of his label. He posted the occasional pic of himself in the classy outfits on Facebook. It caught the attention of several folk, creating a buzz all around the world. By the time he officially launched the line, Male Fashion Geek already had a global following.

He was perhaps following God’s business model. We recall that in the Genesis 1 Creation narrative, God began with a blank slate, the earth, and over time, added all that was necessary for humanity’s existence. When humanity was added to the label, it was understood that as the final, most evolved aspect of God’s creation, humanity would represent God. This included caretaking this earth and everything in it.

Operatively, it suggests that we own nothing, rather God remains the owner (see Psalm 24.1). It also means that we are accountable for our stewardship of what God has invested and created in us. Our God is a top of the line brand, and our lives, our work, our witness must represent God’s Label.

Application

From our rising through to our sleeping, we who are believers, have opted to be God’s Runway Models. Not only is our real life hidden with Christ (see verse 3); but our attire is also representing God’s Brand. Over time, others must see the entire design of tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience; allowing Love to confirm the that we’re attire in Original God’s Divine Designs.

On the off chance that our attire doesn’t represent God’s brand, we need to have alterations. These are customised for us by God’s Spirit. We don’t need appointments, walk-ins are always welcomed.

Assignment

Perhaps it’s time for a visit to God’s Spirit to ensure that we represent God well.

Invite God’s Spirit in, to ensure we’re wearing the genuine Divine Designer label.
