Greetings
Here’s today’s Holy Nougat
“God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.”
Psalms 46:1 NLT
Not only is God our Place of Safety; God is also our Sustenance when we are weak. That means we turn to God when the going gets rough; and we are empowered to continue when we resume our regular lives/return to the battle.
Isn’t it heartening to know that at any sign of danger we can call on God and are assured that God is with us. With us and ready to support as we need.
Of course, though we call on God’s name for help; we sometimes have a hard time relinquishing control so God can actually intervene. Because many of us are like the man who fell while mountain climbing; landed on a branch just before calling out to God. According to legend; God directed him to let go several times and he refused. He was found the next day frozen in place two feet above ground.
Running to God means trusting without reservation. Allowing God to be God of our lives (often guaranteeing that our lives will never be the same) means that we will be stronger.
Are we ready to take refuge in God’s presence?
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
