Hello
Just a quick reminder to someone that God’s got this. Let it alone.
Here’s today’s nougat
But he sternly warned them that they should not make him known. Mark 3.12
Now that’s amazing! Jesus is away from the crowds and is confronted by unclean spirits. Not to much surprise in that. However, it is their automatic declaration of him as the Son of God and his silencing of the spirits which is surprising.
After all, the Pharisees and Saducees were not wholly convinced of his divinity and some had even dared to suggest that he was under the influence of the devil. It is only reasonable that Jesus should revel in the recognition. Vindication at last.
I’m guessing that Jesus did not desire vindication from unclean spirits. That went against who he is and his spiritual authority ( note to self…allow God to vindicate me).
Further, since he was aiming for a moment of rest and refreshing, he wasn’t going there. Now that is worth pondering. Recognising the times and opportunities at hand and knowing when to do what. I guess kairos moments are not just for action at that right time; but also about recognizing when NOT to act. Hmmm.
I guess I’ve got to ponder anew.
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
