Hello my dears,
And a blessing for you today also. (I trust and pray we remember to count them)
Here’s today’s nougat
And then he said to her, Daughter, Your faith has healed you. Go in peace. Lk 8:48
Having heard her story yesterday, it’s still hard to hear Jesus’ words without marveling. He is very clear in accrediting the woman’s healing to her faith. In recollecting the Levitical practices, the absence of the symptom still required the confirmation of the priest (see also healing of the lepers) and we realize that the faith which removes mountains is intrinsically connected in the understanding of who God is.
In the ode to Faith, we are reminded that first we must accept Jesus’ existence as the Son of God and acknowledge his promise to reward our quest for His intervention. Faith IS about seeking God. It is insisting that no one else can meet our need the way God does. It’s really about single-minded determination to allow God’s way, especially when we cannot see proof of how he choice will affect our call.
Faith is irrational, single-minded, desperate, impulsive, moment-ours and Spirit driven. It’s the opposite of fear and operates in Love.
How’s your faith today?
