Greetings,
What a week! Thanking God for mercies great and seemingly small.
Here’s today’s nougat
And the angel replied to him, I am Gabriel. I stand in the [very] presence of God, and I have been sent to talk to you and to bring you this good news. Luke 1.19
There’s something about this verse which gives me comfort. And it’s taken me a while to pinpoint what it is. Gabriel is not an ordinary angel. By his own confession we know that his role goes beyond the norm. Gabriel ministers to God in the Holy of Holies.
And yet, it is this chief angel who is entrusted to deliver God’s good news. That confirms that my God will go to great lengths to meet me with the assurance that God is working God’s purpose out. Always for my good, all to the glory of God.
So, if you’re going through, hold strain! God’s got you, God’s got this!
