Quick question, how many times does God have to speak or act before we get it that the message is directed to us?
I think my personal worst is about 4 times.
Ironically, all throughout the season of God’s repeated communication efforts, the plea was, “Lord! Please speak to me.” Has that happened to you? In one recent iteration, the Lord’s quiet response was, “Talk with me, not to others.” And when I shut my mouth and really listened, God had been speaking. At another time, the word was, “Go to …”
Ultimately, it’s about relationships. God’s desire to communiate with us, and to work with us; and our need to be connected to God, self and others. For each of us, God’s methods may vary, but the desired outcome is the same – a closer relationship with God and the chance for us to behold and share God’s glory. (Check the rest of that miracle to confirm for yourself.)
