Blessings
Another week draws gracefully to a close. I’ve lost a few friends/family of friends this week, and so in the midst of mourning, I pause to give God thanks for you.
Today’s nougat June 13th
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies
You anoint my head with oil, my cup overflows Ps 23:5
Remember Mephibosheth, Jonathan’s kin, he landed at the kind table despite his being crippled and grand child of David’s nemesis Saul.
But more than that is the fact that there is an assurance of abundance in the face of great trials. And yet as Christians, we often fail to cash in on God’s provision. How many of us no longer take God at God’s word, thinking miracles are Christian fairy tales. But God has promised that our cups are full to overflowing, always.
Further God invites us to trust that provision is a reality.
Are we ready to receive God’s gift, even in the presence of our enemies? Are we looking for the abundant provision of God when we have nothing.
Lets take God’s word for it.
