Hello my dears

Thanks for your patience. It has been a week since we last connected and I pray that you and family are well. It was hard to make the call for a week away; but I realized that in order to improve my serve, time away was essential. For ultimately, no matter how pure the motives for staying with the saints; our ministry has little value without time for renewal. With that, here’s today’s Holy Nougat

“For I decided that while I was with you I would forget everything except Jesus Christ, the one who was crucified.” 1 Corinthians 2:2 NLT

You see my dears, for me this is a call to keep our focus God-ward. That includes every situation we are facing.

Every.

Single.

Situation.

Good situations – zero in on Jesus, our crucified Savior. What is His desires for us in the moment; how do we respond? Can we praise Jesus in the good times; especially with our actions?

Bad experiences – keep our eyes firmly fixed on Jesus; praising Him for the experience (still learning that one); and seeking God’s guidance on the way forward. What is the Word of comfort, direction and hope from the Lord? Can we still trust God in those seasons?

Embarrassing moments (gotta thank my baby brother ‘Dré for this thought) – recognize that perhaps we need a little lesson in humility. Remember that Jesus lived the Ultimate lesson in humility by becoming human and facing the Cross for us. Us whose actions often deny and denounce Him rather than lift Jesus higher. Can we reflect God during those moments?

Sticky situations – Definitely time to be immersed in the fullness of God’s anointing (Remember that anointing used to be literal oil poured out on the ‘Chosen’ minister – priests especially – and oil often counteracts glue). Under the anointing yokes are broken, chains are loosed; sight restored and wisdom abounds. Keep our spirits under the yoke of God’s anointing in the sticky contexts.

Down spiritually – let’s encourage ourselves in the Lord. It could be that we’re running on empty and need to recharge anyways. Or that we need to hear a Word from the Lord. Sometimes we Just need to encourage ourselves in the Lord.

If we’ve covered that ground, when we get to church situations; like ‘Paul’ did, we will find it somewhat easier to focus on Christ and not get sidetracked with politics or the issues. And having the passionate Love relationship with Jesus; it will be reflected in our every moment.

Worth moving towards? Let’s keep Jesus Christ our Main focus.

In Christ’s love and grace . . .
