Hi
Blessed Sunday to you! Have you ever stopped to think about what you would say if you knew your words would be recorded for others to learn about God? Bears consideration huh.
Here’s today’s Holy Nougat™
For he is sent by God. He speaks God’s words, for God gives him the Spirit without limit. John 3:34 NLT
Jesus did.
As the Son of God, bearing witness to God, Jesus had to choose his narrative very carefully. His narrative had to reveal the ‘I Am’ God, who is timeless and infinite. His narrative had to reveal the blessing of Creator God, who spoke life and wholeness after each act of wholeness. His narrative had to reveal the incarnate ‘with us-ness’ of God – Living, breathing, human Word – transforming, healing, restoring, outworking God’s awe-full presence, so that we might recognize God in the seemingly simple miracles of life. His narrative had to overturn death, restoring life to decay, creating peace where chaos once ruled.
His narrative had to reveal the glory of God In the birth of a child, in the mere articulation of God’s thoughts and in the interaction with the outcasts. His narrative had to save a broken and desperate world. A world which includes you and me.
God sent the narrative … The narrative of Love, the narrative of Grace, the narrative of Peace.
Have we heard, have we read? Do we KNOW Jesus Christ, God’s narrative?
Ssssh. It’s time to experience God’s narrative.
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
