Blessings to you and yours. I trust you are well. God remains in control, and all is well. After 10 days, we a are back, ready for another season of savoring the Word.

And while he was in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster cruse of ointment of pure nard very costly; and she brake the cruse, and poured it over his head. Mark 14:3
Funny isn’t it, he was dining with a leper … Yet folks were preoccupied with the cost of the nard. Riiiiiiiiiiight
Isn’t that how we are at church sometimes, not seeing the forests for the trees? Busy watching STUFF, but failing to recognise the deeper rooted issues which could benefit from our prayerful attention.
And while we’re busy watching the cost of the nard, SHE’S getting her praise on and her blessings flowing!
Let’s turn that paradigm around today, placing Jesus at the centre of our worship. And for each item of dissatisfaction with “the System”, perhaps we could find even one reason to praise God for “the System”. We can do it. In fact, that would transform OUR worship into nard.
Lord, please show us how to make You our priority, in Jesus’s name amen.
