I went to visit my favourite beach and realised that delayed response to its deterioration cost us the actual shoreline. Sometimes, delay is danger.

Having therefore these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. 2 Corinthians 7.1
Cleansing … During Advent? Yes. We are always needing to be reformed and renewed.
During a pregnancy, many mothers adjust their diet to best suit the needs of the unborn child and the changing body. And, as we anticipate and prepare for that which God seeks to birth in us, wouldn’t it be spiritually healthy to purge the things which displease God?
Remember, defilement comes from within, it’s a matter of the will and the heart.
