Yes you reading this nougat. Whachu been doing? Not doing doing; doing for God doing. D’you realize that we each have work to do on God’s behalf, especially since Jesus has risen and is with God as promised?

Just think.

As Jesus prepared the disciples for His death and Resurrection, He shared some critical news pieces with them. Firstly, He said that they shouldn’t worry because of what was happening. In actuality, when speaking with them He intimated that it was part of God’s greater plan. Which it was. And it is within that plan that Jesus assertion of Greater Works comes.

For He said they, the disciples, would have the capacity and the authority to do all Jesus did and more, provided they believed. The book of Acts establishes very clearly, with the exception of Judas, that this was not an empty promise. Plus if we were to read beyond Acts 6; we note that some of those who were manifesting similar or greater works were not counted among the original.

Why is this important you might ask. Well it is simple. Because the fact of Jesus’ promises being extended to Philip, Paul and Stephen suggests that we are also included in the promise – if we believe! It remains to be seen whether or not we do.
