Nougat 11

I remember hearing long ago that if we want to see God laugh, we’re to tell God our plans. Could that idea be rooted in today’s Holy Nougat

“A man’s mind plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps and makes them sure. [Ps. 37:23; Prov. 20:24; Jer. 10:23.]” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭16‬:‭9‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Another variation of this proverb simply says, ’Humans plan, and God erases.’ I’ll admit that it is easy to hear this in the negative, but I urge us to take a stroll down memory lane to see the distinct hand of God moving over/through our life situations. And let’s identify the positive outcomes also.

I remember for example being convinced by others that the best course for my life was computer sciences. Never mind that I’ve never enjoyed science of any kind, and even back in the day I was a partial technophobe!. I flunked programming, didn’t do well with repairs etc. That was definitely not intended for me.

Yet, that 2-year program was part of the foundation for future studies and for restoring confidence in myself. And that’s one example. In the more recent days, I’m overwhelmed by the ways in which God has ordered my steps to get me through. I note with gratitude all the support poured out to me and how God has shown up in the details.

Of my personal testimonials, there are countless others, both now and prior. And I also commend to us our brother Saul, who having lost his father’s donkeys, only to discover that he was actually about to transform Bible history and become Israel’s first king! His plan – secure his family’s property. God’s plan was even better.

So, are there plans we need to hand over to God’s care? Come folks
