How have you been, and how is your soapbox? [A person’s soapbox is that topic which sets them talking for a while]

Here’s today’s nougat

And the scribes and the Pharisees bring a woman taken in adultery; and having set her in the midst, they say unto him, Teacher, this woman hath been taken in adultery, in the very act. John 8:3-4 ASV

Let’s set aside the obviouses evident in this double nougat for a moment, and instead consider another issue which may be closer home.

Could the actions of the religious leaders be interpreted as gossip? And if so, have we been guilty of gossip in the name of protecting the faith or performing our Christian duty?
