Glorious Monday to you
I trust your weekend has been good, perhaps even restful. And I pray this week proves even better than last week’s best day.
Here’s today’s nougat
And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked. And that day was the Sabbath. John 5:9
We discover that the lame man did not know who his benefactor was. But, he was convicted of his healing and rose in faith. He did not argue that it was inappropriate to receive healing on a Sabbath; or revisit the state of the water. Rather, his almost atrophied bones grabbed his bed and walked into his healing.
There is a saying, “When trouble ketch man, pikney shut fit im.” Perhaps there should be one which speaks to strength which accompanies release from bondage.
When Christ releases us from our deepest cares, do we respond as persons in crisis, or do we rise from the ashes in grateful praise? More critically, have we even stopped to register what God has done for us?
Perhaps it’s time to count our blessings. Beginning with …
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
