Wow wow wow
I’d never thought about the attributes of divine wisdom before. Just think, it’s like waking up to unexpected blessings – godly wisdom is not tainted by earthly attitudes, nor is it self-serving; seeks amenable solutions for all; is patient; desires to act for the common good; is forgiving, engaging and genuine!
Why Wisdom? With the increase in irrational behavior by regular individuals and even with leadership in many sectors, it could be an asset in decision making. Wisdom is not forth (or fortune) telling; it involves discerning the best way forward in crisis. It is knowing when to, how to, where to – and sometimes the why to – of a situation. It’s knowing when to speak, to be silent, when to walk away, jump in or speedily disappear.
And all we have to do is ask for it. Just an earnest request from our loving God (Who desires to bless us with marvelous gifts) opens the door to accessing wisdom. Of course, it is helpful to realize that Wisdom does not equal wealth. It might not be a perk for us as it was for Solomon. But is is fulfilling. Wisdom anyone?
