Welcome to November. Where has the year flown to? May we find strength in God to endure.
Here’s today’s Holy Nougat™
Trust in the Lord forever, For in YAH, the Lord , is everlasting strength. Isaiah 26:4 NKJV
How does one find hope nowadays? Sometimes it feels as though there’s a Fear conspiracy going on. In the USA, for example, some microorganism has been found in the water, and even bottled water was suspect. In other spaces, there are perhaps those and other issues. If we are not careful, we find ourselves caught up in the cycle of fear and fear reduction. We not only become xenophobic (afraid of people in general, or a particular group of persons), but we run the risk of shutting down on the world … Afraid to eat, drink, travel, communicate or really live!
But God
You see, God gives each of our lives meaning and purpose. We remind ourselves that no matter what, our presence here (wherever we are) is not accidental. God allocated space on earth for our existence by facilitating our birth. Despite the odds, we are alive. And all creation has been crafted to enhance our time here.
We’re also offered the opportunity to fashion our existence NOW in anticipation of the new TOMORROW. Our purpose, should we take it on, invites us to move beyond the fears, joys and foibles of our lives in God’s great power. The outworking varies by person, but God has a GOOD plan for all our lives. Just think of the many little surprises that God has gifted us with each day. Reason enough to trust God’s plan, yes?
I challenge each of us today to not only trust God, but to also look for the little gifts we receive from the Lord in the ‘present’ of today.
