Hi here’s today’s Holy Nougat
“But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants.”” John 3:21 NLT
Doing God’s will isn’t always easy. Even when we’re Souled Out. Ask Peter, Moses. Saul, Jonah, David, Miriam, Jael, Ruth, or even Abraham. And when they messed up; a Do Over was feasible. Including Moses. (You can’t be part of the transfiguration and not be right with God!)
And like Jonah, we have to decide whether we will obey or not. The Sychar Woman recognized Jesus as Messiah, absorbed some of the Light and drew others to Him. Saul was blinded by the Light. Then, he absorbed his share of the Light of God’s glory and others were drawn to God.
We might be tempted to argue that those were special people. And they are. But so are you and I. So are many others of our acquaintance. Some radiated that glory in such a way that persons were drawn in by the glow, the warmth and the very presence of God.
Lord, help us move from parsimoniousness to philanthropy and from philanthropy to personal practical witness to others of a Love so deep it glows. Help us share Your mercy and patience as we help others bask in Your love we pray, in Jesus name amen.
