Bless the Lord my dear
May this day find us in great spirits and God’s Word on our hearts. Here’s today’s Holy Nougat
“But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.”
Psalms 1:2 KJV
Life sometimes gets ahead of us. And in THOSE moments, meditation is likely to be the last thing on our minds. For some of us, we don’t necessarily ‘feel’ like meditating onThe Living Word. So is it that when we least expect we lose our delight in God’s Word.
But if The Word dwells in us, something has to give. And if God is unmovable then it seems we should be the one who engages the paradigm shift.
Here’s a thought; if the heart registers and processes delight and we house God in our hearts; could we try to re/pre-program our systems to make meditation on God’s Word our priority. We could ask God to re/gift is with a passion for knowing, understanding, interpreting and subsequently, applying the Word to our life situations. Having so done we could seek opportunities to connect the Word to our situations whether good or bad. Not necessarily to quote aloud; just to determine a verse or some verses which puts life in the moment in perspective.
