I can’t believe I actually typed ‘Jello’! Thank God for auto-correct. Funny that I’m revising my opinion about predictive spelling. But today, it was a help, rather than a hindrance. Hmmmn how many persons and situations does God require me to revise my opinion about? What a Word!
Anyway, here’s today’s Holy Nougat
“One day as these men were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Appoint Barnabas and Saul for the special work to which I have called them.”” Acts of the Apostles 13:2 NLT
Public opinion on Saul was not favorable. However, God’s anointing remained with him to the extent that he was allowed to fellowship with the apostles. To the extent that after a season of routine worship and intense prayer (inclusive of fasting), Saul was named as a specially called evangelist. And the rest is (Christian) history! Saul the self-appointed Christian executor, became Paul the Christian evangelist! Only God
What about us – who/what were we before our lives got turned around? Perhaps others had written us off, failing to grasp the extent and nature of our purpose. But God did; and still sees our Greater Purpose in God’s plans. Even when no one else believes.
What about others – those whom we have/society has completely written off? Are we prepared to see them as God does? Perhaps a regular season of worship and prayer might challenge us and our prejudices. We never know; Saul might be in our midst. Paul in the rough, awaiting commissioning in anticipation of God’s mighty transformation! If only we believed
