Liberty in the Spirit? That inclines one to think Jewish. When Jesus spoke with a group and said the Truth sets us free, they argued that they had left Egypt long ago. And they were partly correct. But there are other prisons …
Of selfishness – where we are so caught up in our world there’s little room for anyone else
Of pride – that was what cost Lucifer access to Heaven
Of addictions – name it and it’s likely someone is addicted (drugs, shopping, sports, etc
Of unconfessed sin – stuff we should have given over to God long ago
These are but few possible prisons we face in life. And regardless which, God’s Truth frees us the moment we say the word
Something like, Lord I’m in trouble. I can’t solve this one. I give the burdens to You and I claim release from all that holds me bound. Reveal any detail which continues to offend You. Draw me closer to You and forgive my sins I pray in Jesus name amen
May we experience the joy of full freedom through our Love, Jesus Christ.
