When we walk with the Lord in the light of God’s Word; what a glory He sheds on our way; when we do His good will. He abides with us still; but it’s blessed if we trust and obey.
Hi
Good morning
Trusting is not always easy, and it sometimes impacts our obedience. Here’s today’s Holy Nougat
“Then the Lord asked him, “What is that in your hand?” “A shepherd’s staff,” Moses replied.” Exodus 4:2 NLT
Sometimes, trying to get out of Divine responsibilities is not easy. Knowing what he knew about himself and his status in Egypt may have given Moses a few moments’ pause. He escaped to the wilderness with little more than his life – Did God remember?
For if God remembered, surely God would not STILL be pushing the rescue of the Hebrews in Egypt. And who knows what would happen if he (Moses) lost his temper? Moses uttered the only words left, ‘What if…?’
Surely many of us (probably all) have lived on that street. Where the assignment God has set up for us seems a little more trouble than we wished. It may be a reminder of our past or present failures, fears or feelings of unpreparedness; or it could be lack of interest. Whatever it is remember; our God Who calls us has ALREADY equipped us. It may seem insignificant, but when God mobilizes us, every little thing has incredible value – us included. For God always equips the called. David had a slingshot; Moses had a simple shepherd’s staff.
What’s in your hand
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
