This is a bit early, but could not be avoided. Nevertheless, we continue to feast and reflect on God’s Word.
Here’s (tomorrow’s) today’s Holy Nougat™
“I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me through their message. John 17:20 NLT
For whom do we pray? Only persons in our personal sphere, or the world in general?
What of church leaders national leaders -regardless of our political affiliation – community leaders?
Do we ask God to meet their needs? Help them resist temptation? To be a tangible presences in the Valley of Shadows? That they might be wise in their decisions, and attuned to God’s presence and direction? That they might act with integrity, and for the benefit of the whole community? How do we pray, really?
Is it feasible that were we to pray for those in leadership they might find increased strength for the journey and be less prone to mistakes?
Today, let us pray as the Lord leads for someone outside of our “circles”.
