Ye did not choose me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that ye should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should abide: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. John 15:16
Fruitfulness ought to accompany chosenness. As God’s chosen, complacency is not a good option.

And that’s where the whatsoever comes in. Our asking is guaranteed WHEN our asking is relative to bearing fruit.

So we expect great things from God when we live out our chosennes by Christ.
Wow. That’s exciting!
Which further suggests that at least some of our prayers ought to be intercessory. Especially if we wish results.

Do we often/still intercede for others?
When last have we seen God’s exceptional power manifest as a result of OUR prayers?
