Hello
How does one deal with grief?
Here’s today’s nougat
She said to them, “Do not call me Naomi; call me Mara, for the Almighty has dealt very bitterly with me.”
Naomi. Pleasant. A warm woman whose two daughters-in-law could not bear to part from her.
Mara. Bitter. A disillusioned woman whose dreams had so turned to dust she could not bear to have her daughters-In-law around to remind her of all she had last.
There’s a thin line between joy and bitterness, especially when our joy is rooted in material things.
Naomi. Mara.
Mara. Naomi
Two sides of one personality. The difference … How the grief was dealt with.
But, before you condemn her totally, recognize that she places her sorrow at God’s feet. Even in our deepest distress, we serve a loving God who hears and invites us to take HIS yoke and lean on him.
Mara
Naomi
Who’s gonna worship God today?
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
