Good morning
Today I give thanks for my alarm clock. I was ready to oversleep, but as always , my God ensured that I was on time . No matter what time zone , I have the assurance that God has my time covered. Thank you Lord
Here’s today’s nougat
Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. Psalm 51.2
Might we reflect for a few on sin? The taboo word even among Christians. Sin, walking outside of God’s plan, purpose and presence. Sometimes it is the little things that drag us away. Like failing to believe God’s assurances, despite personal experience of God’s provision. Like opting for our way without consulting God’s plan (then we wonder why it failed). Like not opting to recognize God when it really matters
As we get closer and closer in our God-walk, we may wish to minimise the impact of sin. That’s when the cleaning process comes in. We confess our sins, and as we do, we invite the Lord to clean us up. It also helps if we’re ready to walk away from the behaviour.
So, here’s a moment for us to address our own sins.
Dear Lord , forgive me for … wash me thoroughly and cleanse me I pray, in Jesus’s name amen
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
