Good morning,
Today’s reflection, May 6.
Care to add your thoughts
This is why I kneel before the Father. Eph 3:14
After a rousing testimony, the Pauline writer, encourages his friends to keep hope alive. He then explains why he plays.
Although I am not a formal intercessor, I have never really processed why I pray. And since motives matter, it is always good to think about why I pray.
I pray to my creator, knowing that I am heard and that my credit card about what I am thinking. I pray, because prayer changes my outlook on life. Further I pray knowing that increased communication between myself and God improves our relationship and deepens my faith. I pray knowing that God heard and an answer is sure. Not always the answer u want, but definitely the answer I need. I pray to alter the natural so that it lines up with the divine (Your will be done on earth. . .) I pray to avoid temptation and to alleviate pain and suffering for others.
How about you, do you know why you pray?
