Hi
So we’ve agreed that enough is enough spiritually. For many of us, we have not figured out the next steps. Might I invite us to consider today’s Holy Nougat
“But Jesus Himself would often slip away to the wilderness and pray [in seclusion].” Luke 5:16 AMP
If Jesus found it necessary to slip away for prayer; what of us? The Word offers a clear blueprint – down time; with God and our spirits.
Sometimes we have to step back and seek God’s face outside of the crowd. For me, that’s usually a challenge as I am often ministering or claiming to decompress. But Godless decompression is not renewing or potent. It is simply us fooling ourselves. How often do we slip away to really connect with God? And what does it look like? Is it time to rebuild our quiet time?
It’s also interesting to note the location where Jesus went to pray. He went to the WILDERNESS! This is significant as the wilderness is often associated with testing and spiritual barrenness. Yet that was Jesus’ favourite prayer spot. Could it be that even in those places of testing it is possible that we can remove ourselves from the fray and find God?
Lord Jesus, show us how to step away IN the midst of chaos to find ourselves in You. Teach us how to seek Your face with regularity and passion. Hear and have mercy we pray dear Y’shua amen
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
