Here’s today’s Holy Nougat

“Then Peter took the lame man by the right hand and helped him up. And as he did, the man’s feet and ankles were instantly healed and strengthened.” Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭3:7‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Have you ever yearned to do something miraculous for God? I have. It’s a desire to be one step beyond average; a bit further than ordinary. It doesn’t have to be about healing miracles (although that would be so amazing!!); but I would really love to be known for something more.

Again, that was Peter. Never satisfied with the status quo. You see, although Peter was impetuous, his passion preceded him and his main passion was Christ. So much so that a beggar offended his sensibilities. For he SAW the man’s situation as a God moment. The chance to experience great things with and for God.

Yessiree

And God honored his desire.

The other interesting thing is that Peter helped the man up. He got directly involved. Like Jesus, his hero and mentor, Peter affirmed the man’s worth and dignity by speaking to the man and also touching him.

Are we prepared to make the human connection for God’s sake? Are we even desirous of doing more than the mundane and routine? Could this be time for God to move mightily through us?

If God’s ready to use me, then I’m ready.
