Nougat 19

When life gets us down, please remember today’s Holy Nougat

“The Lord is compassionate, merciful, patient, and always ready to forgive.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭103:8‬ ‭GW‬‬

What a great description of our God! And these attributes all reflect God’s responses to our vulnerabilities – and we have many. Located within a psalm that invites our praise from the depth of our hearts, we are given multiple reasons for doing so.

For, although we don’t deserve it, God sought to understand what we undergo by becoming one of us. And having so done, God provides each of us a way out of eternal damnation and into eternal life. All we have to do is accept that forever gift of forgiveness, paid by Jesus’ Blood.

When we mess up, when we’re broken, we are hurt, angry or even tired; God’s already at the scene, offering exactly what we need for what ails us.

Of course we cannot overlook God’s journeying with us – overlooking our faults and opening the door to eternity time and time again. And when fears or doubt assail us, God has the antidote and rescues us.

Then there’s the always. God’s forgiveness is ongoing and accessible to each of us; wherever and whenever we desire, as life endures.

In consideration of the outlined reasons, might we join with the psalmist in praising God, despite our current circumstances.
