Nougat 21

So, having been the recipient of God’s Love, did you share with others? I hope that your answer is yes. If you are still challenged on what to do, perhaps today’s Holy Nougat might help.

With whom shall we share God’s love? How shall we share it? Just as Charity begins at home, it follows that ours begin with the community around us. Our family, friends, colleagues and dare I say our foes. Our worship and celebration in this season must point to the Lord at all times. Particularly when we’re not in the physical worship spaces. Those who are outside may need even more convincing than ‘us’ who have already met Jesus. In some instances, they’ve been turned off from formal religion and our lives will be the point of renewal and transformation for them.

Of course, there’s the what to do – what if we were to keep it real and natural? It would make a difference. We begin, as stated earlier with our lifestyle (preach the gospel using words when necessary). But we also must have a testimony in our pockets at all times (if you’re like me, that word brings some embarrassing memories. But I’m talking about simply sharing about God’s grace, mercy and love in our lives).

Moreover, we recall that it’s really all about God. And we ensure that our worship is of and to God. Begin with a song in our hearts. The kind that bubbles up and boosts our spirits even in the rough patches. The psalmist says that we allow our souls to bless the Lord, by counting our blessings. So, let’s let that be our song. Just as it was for the blind songwriter Fanny Crosby.
