As confessing believers in Y’shua, God’s Spirit already dwells within us. Yet, far too often, we live as though God’s gifts are unavailable to us. Is it because we’ve been disappointed before, and are fearful of being disappointed again? Or, do we feel that gifts of God’s Spirit are only for a particular type of believers, or when we’re down and out?
Today’s Holy Nougat
invites us to think about God’s Spirit of Revelation. Might we be open to the Truth, and apply that wisdom in all we do.
John 16:13 NLT
[13] When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future.
May We Be Guided by God’s Truth
Let us pray
We come to You today, dear Lord, recognising the need to be better learners, to be open to Your Spirit, so that we reflect Your presence in our lives. It is Your Truth that we seek Lord, the kind that first convicts us of our own failings and shortcomings, and that directs us in decisions.
Transform our negative learning style that resists correction or direction from You – that is a recipe for failure. We need Your Wisdom in this and every season, Lord, so we renounce foolish choices that keep us away from Your presence.
Thank You, oh God, for the joy that comes from being in Your presence, for the awareness of Your Spirit dwelling within. As we come into the awareness of your Spirit within, help us to yield our ‘natural responses’ to You, listening and engaging with Your Truth. You’ve promised us freedom as we walk in Your Truth, may we find release in whatever You reveal, even if it isn’t what we sought as answers.
Lord, please re-gift us with Your Spirit, confirmed by Your indescribable joy. Teach us how to find joy in all things so that we adjust to painful truths without anger or recriminations.
We ask You Lord, usher us into Your Holy of Holies, directly into Your presence, so we may worship You. While we’re there, please teach us: give us revelations and open doors to knowledge that can only come from You. Confirm that it’s You dear Lord, so we seek You with all our hearts. And, grant us Wisdom in imparting the knowledge we garner to others.
Bless our thoughts, deeds, and speech, that they reflect You always.
Hear·our prayer, please Lord, in Y’shua’s name, amen.

May all we seek be found in Christ
