John 1:14, 17 NLT
“So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son … For the law was given through Moses, but God’s unfailing love and faithfulness came through Jesus Christ.”
Y’shua: Our Indwelling Word
Siblings, did you see? Our Nougat says that the Word made his home among us. That’s so extraordinary! For Y’shua didn’t live amongst one set of people only. Y’shua became enfleshed to live with all who will receive Him.

Ate we ready to receive Y’shua as a full-time resident in our lives?
Application
When meditating on this passage, I am struck by subtle connection to Luke 2. To dwell with someone says that there is space in which a person can live. Yet, when He was due to be born, there was no space for His parents. Y’shua dwells amongst us, but is there room in our hearts for Him?
So many of us are literally unable to entertain guests at home because our homes are filled with stuff. In many such cases, especially when it’s an emotional act, there is no room for persons to sit because all available space is taken. Is there room for Y’shua to dwell in our hearts, or are we filled with guilt, unforgiveness, past hurts, and/or other unaddressed sins?
If we are willing, Y’shua can assist us with the overhauling needed to make our hearts live- ready for Him and God’s Spirit. That’s why John says that through Him is unfailing love and faithfulness. This suggests to me that the Law convicts and tells us where we have fallen short. But the Word transforms, making room for grace.
First, we have to invite Him to dwell fully within our hearts.

For those of us who’ve already invited Y’shua to dwell among us, does He have free reign to change us from the inside out?
