Shekinah Glory

I’m telling you, siblings, this sounds like The Life right there. Live and direct – answered prayer almost before being done speaking! The only thing that could top that would have been to have been in the presence of Jesus full time. And when we bear in mind that this was also in fulfilment of Y’shua’s promise, wow! It must have been so amazing. For those who weren’t present on the day of Pentecost, this would have been the ultimate God experience.

From what we can see, the believers literally embraced the opportunity to speak boldly for Christ. Their desire was matched and surpassed by God’s response. The sheer power of God’s presence literally shook the room as the anointing of God’s Spirit enveloped the believing community.

But it doesn’t have to be restricted to the saints then, does it, siblings?

I believe that God is calling us to experience revival together in our various worship spaces. Not only for Pentecostals and Charismatics, but all believers. What could it look like for us if we were to be so aligned spiritually that the Shekinah of God’s glory shook our worship space?

While our Nougat tells us of the earnestness of the believers’ prayer request, we know that they weren’t perfect. God isn’t seeking a perfect congregation with which to work, or the disciples wouldn’t have made it to apostleship. We are assured in Jeremiah 29:13 and Matthew 7:7-8 that God rewards our seeking. If we choose to prioritise God’s anointing and boldness in our communal worship spaces, we can experience fresh revival. Could we? Do we dare dream in that way?

Point to Ponder

What would it take for us to kindle that kind of fresh fire in our worship spaces? Would we be comfortable or bold to accept God’s outpouring?
