Greetings and salutations.
Grace and peace to you. Here’s today’s Holy Nougat™
Then a leader of the local synagogue, whose name was Jairus, arrived. When he saw Jesus, he fell at his feet,
Mark 5:22 NLT
It is rare that one finds an authority figure in the church kneeling at the altar of one who should command less political respect. Jairus was one such leader.
And in kneeling before Jesus, he was not only paying homage to Jesus’ spiritual gifting, but he was also acknowledging Jesus as his superior. Isn’t that something!
How willing are we to fall at Jesus’ feet today whether to wash his feet, or to submit to his lordship? What would it take to submit everything to the Lord, wholly and soully? (And what if after we submitted to God, that which we sight were to disappear? How would we respond then?)
Today, might I urge us to be open to God’s mighty move in our life.
Be blessed
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
