Good day

It’s morning here, but it could easily have been night. Please ensure that there’s room for balance even in the little things.

Here’s today’s Holy Nougat™

They begged us again and again for the privilege of sharing in the gift for the believers in Jerusalem. 2 Corinthians 8:4

Sometimes God’s call to us is not so much about our own interests or congregation/denomination, as it is about being aware of others’ needs and making the difference.

That’s mission in very simple terms. We often hear of Missions and Mission as part of the churches’ agenda, and for many it is high priority.

But is it our priority?

It was to Jesus. He left Glory and became sin for us so that we non-Jews could have legitimate access to righteousness! That’s recognising our need and making the difference all right. But, there were also the healings and the feedings, even the transformation of water to wine.

Mission may take many forms but invariably involves US following GOD with regard to God’s plan for humanity. It may involve forfeiting some comfort, but it usually is rewarding. Remember? The Macedonians Begging to share gifts with the Jerusalem believers, so much so that it gets mentioned in a letter to the Corinthian believers.

What if we became the change we want to see in the world?

What if?

In Christ’s love and grace . . .
