Hello

For change to occur, we must make some decisions consistent with Today’s Holy Nougat

“My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians‬ ‭2:20‬ ‭NLT‬‬

I trust the Son of God based on His track record of loving me. To the point of death. And going one step further; He returned to assure me what He did is real AND He keeps His promises.

What promises you ask?

He went to prepare the place.

That death would be vanquished; it’s not the last word, since something else is prepared for us.

That our sins are forgiven, and when we choose to believe in Jesus, we can become God’s righteous

Those are profound promises tailored for my weary and wary soul.

Because I have chosen to believe, I can trust Jesus readily and trust Him to journey with me through the rough patches. I am also equipped to allow Jesus to lead me. That, like choosing to trust Christ requires daily recommitment – not because I’m forced to; but because sometimes I listen to my other self. Or I’ve gotten complacent, and begun to presume that I have ultimate control. I don’t.

But Christ does. Especially over my surrendered life (incidentally, a surrendered life is total surrender, not partial). And with that surrender, change has begun in me. Some things don’t fit anymore.

Seriously

For the desire to be separated from our old selves increases until I willingly relinquish. I’m struck by the need to confirm this by putting to death the old ways – no resurrection desired – as Christ gains TOTAL access.

That can be our story; provided we feel the same and are undertaking Total Surrender.

In Christ’s love and grace . . .
