How’s your relationship with God? Here’s today’s Holy Nougat™
But Abram replied, “O Sovereign Lord , what good are all your blessings when I don’t even have a son? Since you’ve given me no children, Eliezer of Damascus, a servant in my household, will inherit all my wealth. Genesis 15:2 NLT
Blessed with no natural offspring to inherit! That truly is not anyone’s life dream. For, there are some blessings which are better shared than they are savored alone.
Even more interesting is the depth of Abram’s relationship with God. He does not reject the blessings or pretend that all is well. No. Abram clearly states his disquiet to the Lord and awaits God’s response.
It is worthwhile noting that Abram was not disrespectful. Instead he related to God as friend with friend. Mindful of God’s earlier covenant with him, Abram reminds God of his desire for his own son.
Do you have an unresolved dream or am unborn purpose which requires deeper, more intimate conversation with God? Perhaps it’s time to have that heart to heart.
