Happy birthday to the church; which took visible form with the mass visitation and anointing of God’s Spirit at Pentecost. The blessing was revealed and uttered long before the manifestation. Consider today’s Holy Nougat

Revelation

God, through God’s own Spirit reveals to Joel the prophet plans to bless humanity even more by gifting us the power and anointing of God’s Spirit

Utterance

In the power of God’s Spirit, Joel records the message and it becomes part of the Sacred Writing for all to access

Fulfillment

Centuries; yes centuries later, God’s Spirit is gifted to those who believed and waited in place. The manifestation is marvelous audiovisual; God in 3D!

Spirit

At the centre of it all: the Spirit of God. The same Spirit Who hovered over the waters in the beginning. The same Spirit whose breath gave us life. The same Spirit Who – guided the Israelites through the wilderness; – anointed kings and judges to protect and redeem Israel time and again; – Who revealed inexplicable truths in and beyond chronos time to men and women during the Exile and beyond; – Whose affirmation of Jesus Christ as God’s Son, Our Saviour was visible and audible to all who cared to hear; – Who manifested like Fire upon the first witnesses and transformed them; Who guided Stephen during martyrdom and placed the mantle of ministry on a murderer.

Testimony

The same Spirit of God desires to do greater things through you and me! This Pentecost; might we also desire fresh Revelation; fresh Uttering; fresh Manifestation? Wa wa wa Emimimo (come Holy Spirit! Come)
