A little early, but please read now …
Hi
Years ago, a friend’s son was pushing the limit of his mother’s patience. In exasperation, the mother declared, “Son. Enough is enough!” in a stern enough voice. All that dissolved in laughter when his cousin piped in, (in a perfected adult tone, despite being a mere toddler), “Enough is enough Sonny boy! Enough is enough!” But, it has the desired effect. The toddler realised it was time to quit. Are you at that point right now?
If so, allow today’s Holy Nougat™ to settle in your digestive system:
End the evil of those who are wicked, and defend the righteous. For you look deep within the mind and heart, O righteous God. Psalms 7:9 NLT
As a Jamaican and Caribbean national, I am so ready to declare that ‘Enough is enough!’ The current crime wave in the region, particularly Jamaica and Trinidad, has an almost demonic tone, with beheadings, abductions, almost daily massacre of women and young girls. Indeed, enough is enough!
I am seriously ready for change.
We’ve worn black in frustration, support of the families and to signal readiness for the end of the violence; we’ve gone through various aspects of the grieving process – including guilt, shaming and blaming – and we’ve returned to a concerted Prayer Bawl Out (i.e. prayer and fasting with heartfelt crying, morning and groaning), only to have the criminal activities intensify in the last month or few.
Might I invite you, wherever in the world you are at midday today/tomorrow (February 9, 2017), to STOP AND PRAY for an end to this season of wanton bloodletting in the region PLEASE. It is really important.
Remember, when we ALL go forth in repentance and intercession for the region, things WILL CHANGE. (See Exodus 14:14; Leviticus 26.8; Deuteronomy 32.30; 3.22; Joshua 23.10; Romans 8.31 for supporting references regarding the power of many and God’s support of us in times of trouble).
If you choose to pray, feel free to share your prayer when you’re done so that we might have the combined prayers of the masses as proof of our united defence against the plans of our common foe! Things have got to change, and it is OUR prayers which help to kindle the flames of this critical revolution.
Thanks in advance.
May God’s grace sustain us as we seek change in this world.
Thanks for joining us in this Divine feast
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
