Howdy

Today’s reflection May 8

May mercy, peace and love be multiplied to You. Jude. v3

In almost every epistle, the salutation includes some form of a blessing. That is all well and good, until we get to our own lives. “Good morning”, “Howdy”, or “Hola” doesn’t begin to express that desire to bless add one is blessed.

But!!! Hold on for a minute. I remember being told, by a complete stranger, that the preferred greeting in the Dominican Republic is “Dios te bendiga” (ie God bless you). He was right. The response is usually ‘egual’ or ‘amen’. What if we were to adopt a similar approach, either on meeting or parting?

I’ll start with me

May the blessing of Christ be yours today, meeting you at every point of your need, filing you with love, joy and peace, and transforming your situations.

God bless you.
