Why focus so much on God’s Love? Because that’s what everything boils down to. Consider today’s Holy Nougat

“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:38‬ ‭NLT‬‬

I remember watching the movie Ghost as a teenager and a young adult several times. It tugged at me in many ways. And one key takeaway was the depth of the couple’s love. I even remember thinking once that I’d love to be loved so deeply and passionately.

And then, I pinched myself figuratively. Because this was worse than a fairytale. They did not even live ‘happily ever after’. The dead went back to being dead. And I also wondered ‘What if?’ What if I was a widow still grieving my husband’s death; what if I had such an experience … what if, what if?

One what if I didn’t think of asking, despite asking what if it was real life and not reel life, was what it God loved us with that depth of love? Perhaps I could not logically fathom love beyond death. Yet I daily proclaim God’s love to myself and to others! Storyline notwithstanding, the movie might have been influenced by God’s love for us. For it clearly outlines a love so deep that it transcended life to protect the beloved.

God’s love not only died for each of us individually, but Love fought for us in Hell and conquered Death; then Love returned from Death to continue to assure us that we are beloved!

That’s profound

And that’s why one creed-writer says ‘In life, in death, in life beyond death, God is with us’.

Now that’s Love

May all we seek be found in Christ
