Nougat 8

Published on

Being an ambassador for Christ requires guts. Sometimes we feel like Jacob – uh I ain’t going nowhere without that blessing! Or like Moses – who do I say sent me? If we need further reassurance, please consider today’s Holy Nougat

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭41‬:‭10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

No worry yuhself

Cease an sekkl

Calm down

Hush

Hear God’s Spirit reaching out over the noise of our fear. Quiet our hearts so we can truly hear God’s voice. If we’re still disquieted, allow our minds to go back to that one time when God came through BIG time and perhaps even surprised you.

Take the opportunity to thank God for coming through then

Knowing God’s immutability (unchanging ways, see Hebrews 13:8), identity a trait that is admirable (or essential for the season) and invite God to demonstrate it now. Check that there’s no lingering sin or action that’s blocking the blessing. Get the Praise on.

Be still once again

What is God saying? Is it direction, or is it comfort? Is it both? Check for the Peace that assures God’s got you. Probably it’s also time to see what’s in your hand, for that is one way God came through in the past … empowering with our own gifts and skills. The God of Moses and Deborah is with us; the God of Mary is our portion.

Feel the Peace adding strength, upholding you. Bask in it until you can recognize it blindfolded. Relish the Peace, preserve your strength and rely on God’s. Accept the help God’s offering, remembering that God won’t use it against you. Stay true to God, lean not on your understanding nor on your own gifts alone, but trust. Move in tandem with God and anticipate the testimony to come.

May all we seek be found in Christ
