Goooooood morning good morning good morning (it is morning somewhere in the world)
Permit me to go off course a bit before returning to the business at hand. I am wont to say good morning no matter the time of day. My argument – it’s morning somewhere in the world AND morning offers a new beginning: to rewrite the slate and start afresh. That’s reason enough to say good morning; yes?! And with that, here’s today’s Holy Nougat
“Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’”” John 7:38 NLT
That’s where it truly begins you know – with belief. When we dare to believe that our God would love us to the point of becoming one of us; Hmmn Hmmn Hmmn! What an awesome experience! And God promises to not only fill us with the Living Water when we believe; but extends the promise to make us refreshing to others also! WOW
Of course, it also means we widen our belief. For nor only do we accept Jesus (Y’shua) as God become human (incarnate), the invitation to drink assumes that we are also aware that Jesus IS the Living Water.
This takes us back to Isaiah’s prophecy where we drink at the fount without money, in an era where water was a very precious commodity. We also remember Jesus chatting with the woman by the well at Sychar, offering the same thing – Forever Living Water – the fountain of Truth. (And we know how that story ended; she drank, and called others to drink also!)
Are you a thirsty believer? Come drink again
Are you searching for Truth? Come drink
And all of us, having drunk and experienced the rejuvenating power which comes from the Messiah, join with that Sychar woman and tell a friend, beseech an enemy; ‘Come experience The One!’ Better yet, may our lives offer a refreshing taste of the Living Water
