- Do you truly think through a situation when you’re counting backwards, our is it a vain attempt at self control?
- Well, erm, when You frame it like that… But what about when Paul told the Ephesians to avoid stewing in anger overnight. Which is it really?
- Reread today’s Nougat, what are the steps?
- Don’t allow anger to lead me to sin. Therefore, gain control through silence and being still. Ahhh, so rather than take action in the moment of offense I oughta prayerfully consider my response. Even if I have to sleep on it.
- Yes, but what if your thinking were more intentionally engaged by call and response with God
- As in pray before I respond? Ok. I guess I should have thought about that

- Well, this just wanted to me. Silence prevents me from sharing my sense of outrage or affront with all and sundry.
- Now there you have it. . Silence prevents others from choosing sides and prevents the offended from saying things which could create further offense.
- Oh. So while I may need to actually address the issue, the anger or the triangulation is not part of the offence. Silence helps that along.
