Hello,
Had your situation ever seemed too inconsequential to be placed before God? Remember, God thrives on the impossible.
Here’s today’s Holy Nougat™
Jesus went with him, and all the people followed, crowding around him. Mark 5:24 NLT
Being called to the bedside of someone is no easy task. This becomes even more difficult when there is a crowd. And yet, Jesus takes it all in stride, making his way with the public official, despite the incongruity of that moment.
For, as a synagogue leader, seeking Jesus out was not de rigueur. It suggested that he was recognizing Jesus’ divinity despite his own religious beliefs. And he didn’t care who noticed him. Now that’s either desperation, crazy Faith or a desire to end his career (perhaps all of the above); but it also underscores the gravity of the situation. Yet despite the crush of the crowd, they seemed to be moving.
Note to selves – when times get desperate, crazy Faith may be exactly what propels us to Jesus’ feet.
Note to selves – when it comes to the crunch, what we believe will supercede the crowds round about us.
Note to selves – Jesus is not intimidated by the crowds or the add-on issues surrounding us.
Note to selves – our issues matter to Jesus, regardless of who we are.
Let’s not just make the notes, let us remind ourselves daily, so that when we need to call on these facts, they are interested in our psyche.
Have a blessed day
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
