I pray you well wherever you are. With all the global headlines vying for our attention, we know that that time of Christ’s return is near. The natural inclination is to worry, but as today’s Holy Nougat indicates, our best recourse is prayer.
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7 NLT
We recognize that if ever there was need for prayer, it is now! We pray for
God’s wisdom and direction for political leaders – whether it be Covid; crisis, climate change, conflict or civil unrest
God’s healing grace on the sick, infirm and healthcare workers at all levels of the system
God’s comfort for grieving, displaced, and worried families caught in the aftermath of conflict and crisis
God’s provision for those who lack; due to displacement and/or unemployment
God’s intervention in places of unrest and violence of every kind
God’s discernment on how to pray for each situation that arises and how to react to what is happening
God’s presence as we take a stand and live God’s justice and peace
God’s peace to prevail wherever we go as believers, especially when we are offering comfort and hope
God’s Spirit to keep us from losing hope and to sustain us through it all
… finally Lord, may Your peace guard our hearts and minds as we live in Christ Jesus.
