Nougat 7

– I remember as though it was right now – the pressure he placed on me when I had church.

– When he started grumbling about how much time and energy God was getting; it was time to go

– She was Christian, he wasn’t … soon she was the one left at home – he discovered Jesus

– All I know anymore is Jesus; the world doesn’t enthrall me

– You are God from beginning to the end, there’s no place for argument; You are God all by Yourself

Where does God fit in our busy lives? How do we communicate that to God? Here’s today’s Holy Nougat

“With every bone in my body I will praise him: “Lord, who can compare with you? Who else rescues the helpless from the strong? Who else protects the helpless and poor from those who rob them?”” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭35:10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Our psalmist not only praises with the whole body; but places God above all else. So the question is posited to the highest levels – to God. Can you imagine asking God whether there’s someone or something that is comparable to God? We actually can! But it truly is more apt when asked in the context of praise, for it seeks to capture the sense that only God can consider such a comparison. Only God is as God is.

But when last has God heard that from us? And do our lives reflect that understanding? For we may say that and our actions or priorities contradict what we say. If we calculated our stewardship of our time, talents and treasure; would our proclamation hold true? If it does, congratulations
