Greetings my dears
Beautiful day isn’t it? We are numbered among the living despite … indeed it is well. Here’s today’s Holy Nougat
“I had only heard about you before, but now I have seen you with my own eyes.” Job 42:5 NLT
How many of us have had that moment where we truly saw God?
Beyond mere supposition and actually seen God’s glory revealed beyond the shadow of a doubt. It may have been in the averting of danger or the realization of the impossible. Or, it may have occurred in what others may describe as an obscure moment. But then, beyond the shadow of a doubt, you moved past supposition, superstition and guestimation to know God for yourself.
Hagar met God in the wilderness after a lifetime of dehumanizing conditions. Not her master’s God, but the God Who saw HER and knew her name. Saul met God on the road after a lifetime of overseeing the murder of Christians. Simeon met God in the temple and willingly embraced retirement from earthly cares.
Job’s experience, which we are now reading of, came after a lifetime of devout living and an intense season of suffering and humiliation. Ironically, his God encounter doesn’t necessarily allay Job’s fears; rather it served to help him ‘see’ God in the midst of the fear.
What are you facing in this season – betrayal, health challenges, abuse, emotional instability, threat to life, or exceeding and abundant joy? Wouldn’t this season be enhanced by a personal visit!experience with God?
Even now, reveal Yourself in all Your glory dear Lord. Maranatha!
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
