Hello
Have you ever wanted to just put someone right before – just give them a piece of your mind and so what for the repercussions? Well, I have. And I was justified. The person was working on my nerves I tell you, and I was tolerant for a season (no; don’t ask how long!!!). I finally figured that having prayed about it, enough was enough! I gave FULL VENT to my frustrations. I even felt better.
Then the person responded. Softly. Briefly. Succinctly. I got my own what for! No fun.
Fast forward some time later. We cemented the differences and I was in a vulnerable position. Without a pause, the person jumped in and saw me past ‘go’. It was humbling, despite having jumped with the person before.
When I pondered yesterday’s Nougat, I knew it was a two-parter. Here’s today’s Holy Nougat
“give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, shall they give into your bosom. For with what measure ye mete it shall be measured to you again.” Luke 6:38 ASV
So, I gave what for, and thanks be to God, I did not get it running over. A little shaken I was after getting it back, but I survived. I also gave time and energy at another point, and that came back in buckets and spades from multiple sources. Just when I needed; but when and from whom I least expected!
What have we been giving to others recently – grumpiness, sour faces, inhospitability, poor service, what for, (in)/tolerance, attitudes, or generally bad judgement (or prejudices); OR pleasantries, smiles, hospitality, awesomeness, forgiveness/grace, dignity, respect and blessings? What would it feel like if we got it back?!

Moreover, how does our giving measure up to Christ’s yardstick/meter rule; and what if He’s the One who’s giving it back?
